"Rest here, out of the flame—the thick air’s
stirred by the fan’s four
slow-moving spoons; under the house the stone
has its feet in deep water.
Outside, even the sun god, dressed in this life
as a lizard, abruptly rises
on stiff legs and descends blasé toward the shadows."
As the days get longer and blossoms hint at the color within, Kratos Himself presents the second and final chapter of SOLSTICE, a two-part conceptual project paying tribute to the celestial dance separating the seasons.
Honoring the rituals of his home, and reflecting the tones, moods, and life cycles dependent on circadian procession, Kratos Himself binds his melancholic meditations to the patient, ancestral soundscapes of the forest and countryside.
SOLSTICE / PART II dedicates its stylings to these sultry months bearing the longest days by illustrating an invigorated sense of life, dancing in the sun as if for the first time.

I love the use of synthesizers on this album because it gives me a strong sense of nostalgia, mimicking the sounds of 80's synthesizers while managing to sound authentic and unique, which can be heard consistently throughout. Jack Wilson
